About the Fund

The Eliza Grover Memorial Fund will support projects that honor Eliza’s legacy of service, academics & athletics, community building, and deep love of the outdoors.

The Eliza Grover Memorial Fund is a 501c3 organization (EIN 93-4188403). All donations are tax-deductible.

Our Projects

Our initial funding targets are described below. Depending on the amount that we raise, we hope to make additional gifts that honor the places, activities, and causes that mattered most to Eliza.

We welcome your comments and will keep supporters informed about how the funds are used.

Menlo Atherton High School

At Menlo-Atherton High School, a large public school where Eliza and her sisters each spent four formative years:

  • Provide scholarship funds to support low-income students

  • Fund yearly projects and/or programs aimed at engaging students across the socioeconomic divide

Land Preservation and Outdoor Recreation

In the area surrounding Donner Summit, where Eliza and her family have enjoyed all-season outdoor adventures for so many years:

  • Support land preservation and recreation, including trail development and maintenance and building benches and/or rest areas for hikers and cross country skiers

  • Work with the Truckee Donner Land Trust and Royal Gorge XC to designate a trail, lookout, and/or warming hut in Eliza’s honor

Fund Leadership

The true leadership of the fund comes from the individuals, families and groups that have come together to honor Eliza’s memory and build a positive legacy out of this devastating loss. THANK YOU.
