Run for Eliza
When: Whenever you run
Where: Wherever you are
After many years of playing competitive volleyball, Eliza became a serious runner. She found such joy in it that she could hardly get enough. At the time of her death, she had run 4 half marathons and one full marathon, and was aiming to run in the Marine Corps Marathon in under 4 hours at the end of October. She had joined a running group that was both motivating and supportive, was just getting into trail running, and was talking about ultramarathons.
Eliza was always exhilarated to be outside, pushing herself and inspiring others to do the same. Here’s a card she wrote to her friend Allison, a fellow runner in the Goucher premed program, when Allison was leaving for the Berlin marathon. It features her signature enthusiasm, good humor, and gratitude, as well as the inimitable “Eliza font” and the very best of her unique artwork. Note the delicate treatment of features, the elegant limbs, and the meticulous proportioning.
Team Eliza T-Shirts
When her Goucher classmates decided to run the Marine Corps 10k in Eliza’s honor, they designed and wore this t-shirt.
Eliza’s sister Natalie added a couple of touches and we are happy to offer the t-shirt for all you runners, wherever you are. If you would like to join a group order for a “Run for Eliza” t-shirt, click here. Note that orders must be submitted by 6/7/24 to get the group discount.
If you send a photo from one of your runs, we’ll add it to a Run for Eliza photo collage.
