Goucher College Honors Eliza

Eliza was thrilled to have joined the 2023-24 post-baccalaureate (pre-med) program at Goucher College, and loved the small program’s camaraderie and support. Even in the first few months of the program, it was clear that she had built important and enduring friendships. In early 2024, her cohort designed and installed a beautiful library in her honor, in the program’s student lounge. Eliza was honored at Goucher in other ways as well: Betsy Merideth, the Program Director, wrote the remembrance below in the Goucher Magazine; Goucher President Kent Devereaux presented a Certificate in Memoriam at the school’s 2024 graduation; and the school’s volleyball team, which Eliza had helped to coach while she was there, held a “Volley for Eliza” fundraiser in October 2024. We are so grateful to the Goucher community for these kindnesses.

The wonderful 2024 Goucher Post-Bac Cohort

In October 2024, the Goucher Volleyball team played an awesome “Volley for Eliza” match, raising more than $300 for the memorial fund. Special thanks to Coach Kate Lindholm and players Vivian, Dakota, Lucy, Liv, Emma, Athena, Imani, and Rianne, for organizing the event.
