Introducing … Eliza’s Outlook

Through a wonderful new partnership with the Truckee Donner Land Trust, the Memorial Fund was able to designate a special spot in Eliza’s honor, in the wilderness that she so deeply loved. On Eliza’s 25th birthday (7/27/24), while so many were hiking in her honor around the US and beyond, a crew of over 30 friends and neighbors carried and installed benches up to Razorback Ridge in Royal Gorge. There we inaugurated Eliza’s Outlook, with views across the Gorge to Donner Summit and Olympic Valley. It’s a beautiful spot that will outlive us all - and spending time there has already brought us great joy and peace.

The Fund is now sponsoring development and design of a new hiking map of the area, which we will print and post for public use as soon as it’s completed!
